Parties & Celebrations

Even in the 1700’s, the Green Man was a notoriously popular place for celebration. The famous Dick Turpin would stash his guns in the upstairs room after a duel on the Heath followed by celebratory refreshments for the winners. 

The pub has since then changed in its decor & layout but still remains the best place to celebrate in Putney. 

Whilst you may not be celebrating a duel, our lovely pub has cosy corners & bright open spaces to suit any occasion from birthday parties, after work drinks, a celebration of life, garden parties or just a catch up with old friends.

Very nice friendly place, nice food too 🙂 I live nearby and on a lazy Sunday I love to go there. It’s a very local pub, niceto see the same faces, gives you that ‘village’ feeling which is very rare in London.
